You know, it seems that we either forget or keep putting off getting family pictures taken. When did family pictures start taking a back seat to everything else? I’ve done it myself and I’m a photographer! Weeks pass, then months, and pretty soon the kids are way past the point where we first thought about getting family pictures done and we missed it.
Yeah, we have a million cell phone pictures. But seriously, are they hanging on your wall for all to enjoy? Are they beautifully memorialized in a album on the coffee table? Nope. They’re sitting on our 4″ screens and possibly backed up to iCloud. That’s just as good, right?
A family session is typically about an 35-45 minutes long, but time passes quickly because my sessions are very relaxed and fun! Although I do capture some portraits, I try to incorporate movement and play into every session. This allows the kids to enjoy it more (and adults to relax more!) and be more natural, sometimes forgetting there’s a camera pointed at them. I engage you in walking and talking and other activities besides just sitting and posing, so there’s more flow and less down time.
And FYI, pets are perfectly fun and always welcome. They are almost as much of your family as the kids are!
Just take a look below to see what you can expect:
The session fee is $150 and includes a pre-session consultation, a 35-45 minute on-location shoot and five high-resolution digital images.
About 2 weeks after your shoot, we’ll meet up again for a Preview Appointment where you’ll get to see all of the amazing images from your session! At this appointment you will choose the five digital images included with your session. Although there is no minimum purchase requirement, print and digital collections are available starting at $350, as well as a range of ala carte products. Most clients average $500-$1100 total, including the session fee.
